The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I continued on with my education after graduation from the associate degree program (mech)and received my bachelors degree in June 1976 from the Penn State, Capitol campus in Harrisburg,Pa. While attending Capitol campus, I worked part-time for a small Civil/Environmental consulting firm located in my home town up until graduation. I joined Bechtel Power Corporation in July 1976 with whom I worked as a Civil/Structural engineer for the next eighteen years, supporting the nuclear industry performing design, construction, startup, re-start and operating plant services activities. In 1994, I left Bechtel to join ICF Kaiser at the Hanford Reservation in Richland, Washington. As Principle engineer I supported work on environmental cleanup projects at the site. In 2001 I accepted a senior engineering position with DMJM H&N,which is now known as AECOM. Since joining the company performing environmental related work, I am currently Engineering Manager for AECOM in the Richland office performing design analysis and consulting services work for a variety of clients including DOE, DoD, NASA,Government Services Administration (GSA)in downtown Chicago, and the SUNCOR and Horizon tar-sands projects in Alberta, Canada. In all this time I have been faithfully accompanied by my wife Catherine and son Mike Jr., who now has graduated from college and been married for two years.
